Bone Joint Clinic

This clinic is located in the basement of House Number 9, on Road Number 33 in the Punjabi Bagh Extension. It’s a residential neighborhood, so it’s a bit quieter than being on a main commercial strip, but we still get plenty of visitors. Being in a basement means it stays a bit cooler in the summer, which is a relief. We have a sign outside so people don't miss us. The space is divided into a waiting area and a couple of small rooms for examinations. It feels a bit like a home office that grew too big. We have lots of files stored in cabinets along the walls. Most of the people who come here are from the local houses nearby. They come in for joint pain or after they’ve had a fall. We don't have a big fancy reception desk, just a simple table where we take down names. The lighting is all fluorescent, which is a bit harsh, but we need it to see. We talk to patients in a normal way, no big medical jargon if we can help it. We just tell them what’s wrong and what needs to happen next. It’s a steady kind of job. We see a lot of the same people for follow-up visits, so we end up chatting about the neighborhood and the weather while we check their progress. It’s just a regular part of the day for us in this basement office.
