Anni Fashion

We’ve been running Anni Fashion out of this spot in Uttam Nagar for a while now. It’s right at E-29 in the Nawada Housing Complex. If you know Kakrola Mor, you know how busy it gets around here. Our space isn't huge, but it fits everything we need to get through the day. Mostly, we are just working with different fabrics and trying to keep things organized on the shelves. Sometimes the dust from the road gets in, but that is just part of being in this area. We usually start early in the morning when the tea stall nearby opens up. People walk past the window all day going to the metro or the market. It’s a lot of folding and packing and talking to the people who stop by to ask about what is new. We don’t have fancy displays or anything like that. Just a counter and some racks. Sometimes the light in the back flickers, and we keep saying we will fix it. We are just a small team here. Most of us live nearby, so the commute isn't too bad unless the rain floods the street. It’s a regular job for us, really. We just focus on getting the clothes ready and making sure the inventory matches what we have on the paper. It gets loud outside in the afternoons, but you get used to it after a month or two.
