Down in Ballimaran at number 5225, you’ll find us surrounded by the constant energy of Chandni Chowk. Abc Peripherals operates out of a space that feels like it’s right in the heart of the old city. It’s a place where the lanes are narrow and the buildings are packed tight together. Every morning starts with moving boxes of computer parts to make enough room to sit down. We deal with all sorts of small components, and sometimes it feels like we’re playing a game of Tetris just to organize the inventory. The air outside is always full of the sounds of carts and people shouting, which is just part of being in Ballimaran. We don’t have a big fancy storefront; people mostly know where to find us by word of mouth or because they’ve been coming here for years. It’s often hot, so we have a couple of old fans that work hard all day. We spend a lot of time checking serial numbers and packing orders for people who need their tech fixed. Sometimes we have to step out into the alley to talk because it gets too crowded inside with all the stock. It’s a gritty, busy way to work, but it’s the reality of doing business in this part of Delhi. We just keep our heads down and handle the orders as they come, making sure everything is ready for the daily pickup when the transport arrives.
