A. S. Engg. Works

Our shop is A. S. Engg. Works and we are tucked away in Manohar Nagar, right near the Himgiri Apartments. The address is WZ-66/7 and if you are in Vikas Puri, you probably know the area. We do a lot of metal work and machining here. It is noisy because of the lathes and the welding, but that is just how an engineering workshop is. There are always scraps of iron on the floor and the smell of cutting oil in the air. We aren't a big factory with hundreds of workers. It is just a few of us who know how to handle the machines. People bring us drawings or sometimes just a broken part they need a copy of. We try our best to get the measurements right. It’s a practical business. We don't spend money on fancy signs or a front desk. Most of our day is spent at the workbench or checking the alignment of a piece of steel. Manohar Nagar is a busy place and we fit right in with the other workshops around here. Sometimes we stay late to finish a job that needs to go out the next morning. It isn’t easy work, but there is a certain satisfaction in making something solid and useful. We have been in this spot for years and plan to stay for many more. It is just our way of living.
