We are over in Kirti Nagar, at 84/2-3 Block-2 W.H.S. Most people come here for furniture, but we’re here doing clothes. A & B Fashions Private Limited is tucked away in this warehouse area. It’s a large space with high ceilings, which helps with the heat. We have rows of machines and a big area for checking the fabric. It’s not a place for visitors really, just a working warehouse. We have a small office at the front where we handle the billing and the phone calls. It’s usually pretty loud because of the traffic outside and the work going on inside. We don't have any professional cleaners, so we all take turns sweeping up the loose threads at the end of the day. It’s a simple way of doing things. We’ve been here for several years now and we know the rhythms of the block. The rainy season is the hardest because the roads around here get flooded easily. We have to make sure the fabric stays dry. It’s a lot of physical labor, lifting rolls of cloth and moving boxes. We don't have a fancy mission or anything like that. We just come in, do the work, and go home. Our team is small and we’ve mostly worked together for a long time. It’s just a regular local business in the middle of Kirti Nagar.
