Velpula Pochamma

I stay at house number 2-2 in Vallampatla village. This is where I do my work and where people come to see me. Vallampatla is a small place in the Madduru mandal, so everyone pretty much knows where everyone else lives. My house is easy to find if you just ask around the village. It is a simple life here, and I have been part of this community for many years. Whether it is morning or evening, there is always something to do around the house or helping out someone who stops by. Living in a village like this means you are always connected to the people around you. We don't have big signs or anything, just the house number and my name. The days go by with the usual chores and the work that comes my way. Sometimes it is quiet, and other times there are many people coming through. The weather out here in Madduru can be tough during the summer, but we manage. I like being in Vallampatla because it is home. People know that if they need me, I will be here at house 2-2. It is not a big operation, just me doing what I do every day. I have seen the village change a bit over the years, but the way we do things stays mostly the same. There is always some talk over tea in the afternoons when it gets too hot.
