Eesha Travels

Out here in Chinthal, over at 16-11-358/1, we run Eesha Travels. It’s mostly just keeping track of where the cars are and making sure the drivers know where they’re going for the day. The phone rings a lot, usually people asking about times or checking if a driver is nearby. We spend a lot of our time sitting at the desk looking at schedules and maps. Traffic in this part of town can be a real headache, so we’re always checking the news or looking out the window to see how the road looks. We have a few cars that we keep running. It’s a lot of maintenance, making sure tires are okay and the engines aren't acting up. Sometimes a driver calls in sick and we have to scramble to find someone else so nobody is left waiting. It’s not a glamorous job, just a lot of coordinating and hoping the roads aren't blocked. We get all sorts of people calling us, from families going on a trip to people just needing a lift to the station. We’ve been in this spot for a while, so the locals know where to find us. Usually, there’s a pot of tea going and someone sitting around waiting for their shift to start. We just try to keep things moving as best as we can every day. It is just life.
