Srinivasa Flour Mill

Srinivasa Flour Mill is right there in Madikonda. Our place is H. No -2/173. It is easy to find because we are directly opposite the State Bank. That bank is where everyone goes, so they usually see us too. We have been grinding grain for the local people for a long time. The machines are old and they make a lot of noise, but they get the job done. You can smell the fresh flour when you walk by. It gets very dusty inside, and we end up covered in white powder by the end of the shift. Madikonda is a decent place, and being near the bank helps people remember where we are. We don't have any big marketing plans or anything. We just wait for people to bring their bags of wheat or rice. Sometimes there is a line and people have to wait their turn under the shade. It is a simple business. We open early so the farmers and housewives can get their milling done before the sun gets too hot. There is nothing fancy about the mill. The walls need a bit of paint and the floor is always covered in dust, but that is just part of the work. We like being part of the neighborhood and seeing the same faces every week. It’s hard work on the back, but it's what we know how to do.
