Working under the bridge in Warangal has its own rhythm. The traffic above makes a specific sound that you eventually stop noticing after a few months. We are right opposite the Fed Bank, so people use that as a landmark to find us. Warangal gets very hot in the summer, and the shade from the bridge actually helps a bit. The mess is usually full around lunchtime. We start the cooking quite early in the morning so the biryani is ready when the first hungry people show up.
