We’ve been here at the C. P Reddy Complex in Hanamkonda for quite a long time now. Most of our days are spent sitting behind the sewing machines at H. No -4-9-39/1. It’s not a very big shop, just enough room for a few of us and the fabrics that people bring in. We don't have any glossy catalogs or fancy mannequins in the window. Usually, you’ll just see piles of colorful cloth and some half-finished dresses hanging up. We do a lot of work for the local women who want their blouses or suits stitched just the way they like. Sometimes we are very busy, especially when the wedding season starts or a festival is coming up. During those times, the machines don't stop until late at night. We just try to get the work done as well as we can. Our hands are usually busy with needles, thread, and chalk. We don't spend much time on the computer or doing paperwork. Most of our customers are neighbors who have been coming to us for years. They know we are here and they know how we work. It’s a simple life, really. We just focus on the measurements and making sure the fit is right. If you walk past the complex, you can hear the sound of the stitching. It’s just a local business trying to make things look good for the people in Hanamkonda. We keep our prices fair and our talk simple. That is all there is to it.
