Santhosh Kumar Auto Services is located right at H. No -1-58 in Chinna Yellapur. It is a small place in Gudur where we spend most of our time covered in engine oil and dust. We handle all sorts of vehicles that come down the road. Most of the time it is just bikes or the occasional car that needs a quick look. The shop is basically part of the house area, so we are always around if someone needs help. It gets very dusty here because of the passing traffic but we don't mind it much. We have a few basic tools and a jack to lift things up. If a part is broken, we tell the owner and see if we can find a replacement in the local market. It is honest work and it keeps the kitchen fire going. There is no air conditioning or anything fancy, just a fan that moves the hot air around while we work. People from Chinna Yellapur know us by name and they trust us to not overcharge them for small things. We have been doing this for years and the hands stay black with grease no matter how much we wash them. Sometimes a tractor comes in from the nearby farms too. We just take one job at a time and try to get it done so the person can get back to their work. That is how things go here every day.
