Punna Auto Services is located over in Geesugonda, specifically at H. No -1-189 in Gopya Thanda. If you know the Nandha Nayaka Thanda area, we are right around there. This is a real hands-on kind of place. Most of the time, you’ll find us under a car or hunched over an engine with a wrench. The floor is stained with oil and there’s always a faint smell of petrol and old tires in the air. We take care of whatever comes through the gate, whether it’s a small car needing an oil change or something bigger that’s making a strange rattling noise. We don’t have a fancy waiting room with a TV, just a couple of plastic chairs under the shade of the roof. People usually just stand around and chat while we work. The tools are scattered across the benches because we use them constantly. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons, so we try to get the heavy lifting done in the morning. Being in a place like Geesugonda means we see a lot of the same faces. Everyone knows whose truck is whose. We don’t do much advertising; people just know we are here when their vehicle starts acting up. It’s a lot of hard work and grease, but it feels good when a motor finally turns over and sounds right again. We just keep the tools clean and the gates open for whoever needs help, day in and day out.
