Kumara Hotel

The stove at Kumara Hotel gets turned on pretty early every morning here in Rajapalle. We are located at H. No -1-279/2, and most people in Narsampet know the spot by now. It isn't a big fancy restaurant with a huge menu, just a regular place where you can get a hot meal that fills you up. We spend most of our time in the kitchen chopping vegetables or making sure the rice is cooked just right. The lunch rush usually starts around noon and the place gets quite noisy with people talking and the sound of plates clinking. We don't have those fancy uniforms you see in the city, just clean clothes and a lot of sweat from being near the fire all day. Some days we run out of certain dishes because more people showed up than we expected, but that is part of running a small hotel in a village area. We know most of our customers by name since they live nearby or stop here while traveling through Narsampet. The chairs are simple and the tables are sturdy enough for a quick meal. We keep the place clean as much as we can between the rushes. It is simple food for people who work hard and need something decent to eat. Running a hotel like this is a lot of work but seeing people leave with a full stomach makes the heat worth it.
