Bojya Pindi Girni

Bojya Pindi Girni is our little flour mill located at H. No -1-211 in Kannaraopet, which is in the Nallabelly area of Warangal. It is a very local business, mostly just serving the families who live around here. The sound of the grinding stones is something you get used to pretty quickly once you spend some time here. We spend our days taking in bags of grain and turning them into flour for people to use in their cooking. It gets quite dusty inside the mill, as you can imagine, so cleaning is a constant job. We have been in Kannaraopet for many years and have seen the kids in the village grow up. People usually just walk over with their bags or bring them on a cycle. It is a simple life and the work is physically demanding, but it’s what we know. There isn't a big staff, just a couple of us making sure the machines are running right and the flour is coming out fine. You won't see fancy advertisements for the girni because everyone in Nallabelly knows where we are. We just focus on doing a good job for our neighbors. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait to finish the work, but that’s just how it is in our part of Warangal. We are a regular part of the community here, helping people get their daily food ready for their families.
