We started this group here in Appalraopet because we needed a way to work together. Nekkonda Farmers Producer Companylimited is mostly just us neighbors from around H No:3-183. We handle a lot of the crops grown in these fields. It isn't a big fancy office, just a place where we figure out seeds and where to sell our harvest. Sometimes the weather is hard on us, but being a group helps. We've been here a while now. Most days are spent looking at the dirt or talking to other farmers in the village. It's tough work but it's what we know. We aren't trying to be some huge corporation. We just want to make sure the people growing the food get a fair shake at the end of the season. Sometimes the paperwork gets confusing, but we manage. People drop by the house to talk about prices or what to plant next month. It is a slow process getting everyone on the same page. We mostly just focus on the day-to-day stuff. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It's just a few of us sitting around a table making decisions for the collective. We've got deep roots in this soil and we plan on staying. That is pretty much who we are. There's not much else to say except that we try our best to keep things running even when the market is acting up.
