Ushodaya Degree College

Ushodaya Degree College is located right at the Kotturu Junction in Chodavaram, which is part of the Visakhapatnam district, 531036. If you're coming from the main city, it takes a bit of time, but the junction is always busy with people catching buses or getting snacks at the stalls nearby. Our college building is easy to spot once you get to the junction. We have been here for quite some time now, and many people in the local area know us by name. The classrooms are basic, with wooden benches and blackboards that have seen better days. During the rainy season, you can hear the water hitting the roof pretty loudly, but we just talk a bit louder so the students can hear everything clearly. We don't have any of those modern glass walls or air conditioning; it's just a regular building with fans that creak a little. The students usually hang out near the entrance during their breaks, talking about their exams or just life in general. Visakhapatnam weather can be very humid, so we keep the windows open all the time to get some air moving through the halls. It’s a practical place, really. We spend our days checking attendance and making sure the lectures are happening on time. It isn't a flashy place, but it's where the local kids come to get their degrees. We just keep our heads down and get the work done.
