Vivekananda Vidya Nilayam

Our school is tucked away in A.S.R.R. Colony, which is part of the Kancharapalem area in Visakhapatnam. Most people just call us Vvn School for short. It is a quiet residential spot, so we don't get too much noise from the main roads. Vivekananda Vidya Nilayam is a simple place. We have a courtyard where students gather for assembly in the mornings before the sun gets too hot. In Vizag, the humidity can be quite a lot, so we make sure the windows are kept open to catch any breeze coming through. The classrooms are basic with wooden benches and plenty of books stacked on the teachers' desks. We aren't a flashy institution with a big marketing budget. We are just a local school serving the families who live nearby in the colony. You’ll often see parents standing outside the gates chatting while they wait for their children to finish their afternoon classes. We have a small staff of people who have been working here for years. They know the siblings and the cousins of the students because everyone in this part of town is connected somehow. We just go about our business of teaching and making sure the kids stay on track with their studies. It’s a regular, honest school where the main goal is just to help the kids grow up a bit every year.
