Andhra Medical College

Andhra Medical College has been sitting here in Maharani Peta for a very long time. If you walk around the campus, you’ll see students everywhere in their white coats, usually looking a bit tired or carrying heavy books. It’s a big place with a lot of history in these walls. People in the area know us well because so many doctors started their training right here. It’s not just about the classes, though. There is always something happening in the wards or the hallways. It can get pretty loud and crowded, especially during the day when everyone is rushing to get to their next rotation or clinical session. Maharani Peta is a busy part of town, and the college is right in the middle of it all. We have different departments for just about everything, and while the buildings show their age in some spots, they’ve seen a lot of people come and go. The trees on the grounds give a bit of shade when it gets hot, which the students appreciate during their short breaks between labs. It’s a practical place. We focus on getting the work done and making sure the next generation of medics knows what they are doing. It isn't always pretty or organized perfectly, but it's a real part of the community here. You see the same faces every day, from the tea sellers outside to the senior professors walking across the courtyard heading to their lectures.
