Satej Provisions

Our little shop is located in the village of Anakapalle, within the Venkatachalam taluka. If you are looking for us, we are right near the big water tank, which is a landmark everyone around here knows. In a village like this, things move a bit slower than in the big cities, and we like it that way. We provide the daily provisions that the local families need, like dal, rice, sugar, and soap. We don’t have a fancy storefront; it’s just a plain room with wooden shelves that we built ourselves. The floor is simple concrete, and we keep a few sacks of grain open so people can see what they are buying. Since we are near the water tank, there is usually a bit of activity nearby with people coming and going to collect water or just chatting. We know most of our customers by their names and we know their families too. It is more about being a part of the community than just running a business. We often sit on the bench outside when it’s quiet, waiting for the next person to walk up. The weather can get quite hot, but the shade from the nearby trees helps a bit. We don't have any big signs or advertisements. People just know we are here when they need something for their evening meal. It’s a very quiet and steady life in this part of Venkatachalam, and we wouldn't have it any other way than this simple living.
