Dream Birds Schools

If you head out towards Madugula and find the APSWRS Girls' campus in Konam, that is where you will see us. We are tucked away a bit in this part of Visakhapatnam, so it is usually quieter than the city center. Dream Birds Schools has been operating here for some time, and it feels like a small community. The girls are here most of the day, and we keep things moving along as best as we can. It’s not always easy being a bit further out, but we make it work. The classrooms are basic, with wooden benches and blackboards that have seen a lot of use over the years. We spend a lot of our time making sure the schedules are followed. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just have to wait it out or open the windows for more light. The teachers live nearby, so everyone knows each other’s business. We don't have a big fancy lobby. Usually, there’s just a plastic chair for visitors and a stack of notebooks on the table. We get a lot of rain during the monsoon, and the ground gets a bit muddy, but the kids don't seem to mind much. We just focus on the daily lessons. It’s a lot of repetition, teaching the same things year after year, but seeing the kids grow up is something. We aren't trying to do anything grand, just keeping the school running day by day.
