De Paul School

We are located in Ukkunagaram, which is a specific part of Visakhapatnam. Most people who live around here are connected to the steel plant. Our school is right in the middle of that community. It’s a quiet area with lots of trees, and the school building fits right in. We have classrooms for different grades and a playground where the kids run around. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed but we take the classes seriously. Students walk or bike to school since they live nearby in the township. We have a simple setup with desks, boards, and a few labs for the older students. The teachers have been here for years and they know the families well. It’s not a place with a lot of bells and whistles. We just focus on the daily lessons and making sure the kids follow the rules. In the afternoons, you can hear the bell ring and see everyone heading home. We have some events during the year, but mostly it’s just the regular school routine. The building is well-maintained but it’s definitely an older style. People in Ukkunagaram know us as the local school where their kids go. We don’t do much in the way of marketing. We just open up every morning and get to work teaching the children from the neighborhood. It’s a steady, familiar place for everyone here.
