Vidhya Vihar English School & Junior College

Vidhya Vihar English School & Junior College is right in the middle of Virar West. If you know the Thane area, you know how busy and packed it can get. Our school is located in one of those narrow streets where there is always something going on. We have the younger kids in the morning and then the junior college students take over later on. The building is a few stories high, and the stairs are always a bit of a workout for the older teachers. We don't have a massive campus with a big garden. Space is tight here in Virar, so we make do with what we have. The classrooms are filled with the sound of the ceiling fans and the noise of the traffic from the main road. We use standard textbooks and the teachers write everything out on the boards. Most of our students live within walking distance or take a short rickshaw ride. The parents are always dropping by the office to ask about their child’s progress or to pay the fees. It is a very busy place, and it can feel a bit chaotic when the shifts change and everyone is moving at once. We just focus on getting through the lessons and making sure the kids are behaving themselves in the corridors. It’s a typical neighborhood school where everyone eventually knows everyone else’s name. We have been part of this community for a long time and we just keep doing our thing.
