Sri Srinivasa Hair Saloon

If you are looking for us in Vijayawada, we are right at the Main Road Junction in Singh Nagar. It’s easy to spot because we are right opposite the Sai Baba Temple. You can often hear the temple bells from inside the shop. The address is 43-106-16, a small spot but it serves the purpose. I’ve been cutting hair here for a long time. It’s a traditional hair saloon, the kind where men come to get a quick trim or a shave and talk about what’s happening in the news. We have the big old-style chairs that are actually quite comfortable once you sit down. The mirrors have a few spots on them from years of use, but they work fine. Most of the guys from the neighborhood stop by, especially on Sunday mornings when everyone is off work. It gets quite cramped then, with people sitting on the bench waiting their turn. I don’t really do fancy styling, just the regular cuts people ask for. The junction outside is always loud with scooters and buses passing by, but inside it’s just the sound of scissors and the radio playing some music. I keep the shop open until late evening most days. It’s a simple life, running this place near the temple. I know most of the people who walk through the door by their first name. We keep things honest and just do the work.
