Bhuvana Swarna Salon

Bhuvana Swarna Salon is located right in the middle of Sivalayam Market in Vijayawada. Being on Sivalayam Street means we are surrounded by all the shops and the daily bustle of the market. It is a very loud and energetic place to be. You can hear the vendors shouting and the smell of the market is always in the air. Our salon is a small corner where things are a bit more relaxed. We have a few chairs and some old pictures on the walls. The floor is a bit worn out from all the walking, but it shows how many people have been through here. Vijayawada gets extremely hot, so we rely heavily on our ceiling fans to keep the place bearable for everyone. We get a mix of people, from vegetable sellers taking a break to families who are out doing their weekly shopping. It is not a place where you need an appointment or anything fancy. You just walk in and wait your turn on the wooden bench. We have a small sink in the back that we use quite a lot. The lighting inside is okay, though one of the bulbs flickers sometimes when the power fluctuates. We just get on with the day. It is a simple life running a shop in a busy market like this. We know the other shopkeepers well and we all look out for each other.
