Somiya Beauty Parlour

If you walk down Dabakotha Road in Singh Nagar, you will find Somiya Beauty Parlour. We are right here in the heart of Vijayawada. This part of town is always moving, with bikes and rickshaws going up and down the road. Our shop is a small space where we do basic beauty work for the local women. It’s not fancy at all. We have two main chairs and a small mirror station. Most of our regulars live just a few streets away in Singh Nagar. They come in for a quick eyebrow threading or to get their hair trimmed before an event. We started this parlour because there weren't many options right on this road. We spend a lot of time talking with the ladies about their families and what's going on in Vijayawada. The heat here can be tough, so we make sure the fan is always working. We keep a stash of hair pins and safety pins because someone always needs one. Sometimes the water pressure is low, but we manage. It’s a practical place for practical people. We don't use any big words or try to act like we are in a movie. We just do the work and try to be helpful to whoever walks through the door. Dabakotha Road is a busy spot, but inside the parlour, it feels a bit more relaxed. We are open most days except for some holidays. We hope to see you soon.
