Priya Childrens Hospital

We are located on Panta Kalua Road in Patamata. If you live around here, you know how the road gets during the busy hours. The hospital is right there where everyone passes by. We have a sign for Priya Childrens Hospital hanging over the door. It’s a bit faded from the sun because the heat in Patamata can be quite something. Inside, we have a few benches for the parents. We try to keep the fans going at full speed all day long. The walls are painted a pale yellow. It’s supposed to be a calming color, I think. We spend a lot of our day talking to mothers who are worried about their little ones. The pharmacy across the street is where everyone goes after they see us. We have a small office in the back where we keep all the paper records in big metal cabinets. Sometimes it takes a minute to find the right folder. The staff is mostly local women who have kids of their own. We talk a lot about our own families during the lunch break. We eat in a small room near the back exit. There is a lot of dust from the road, so we have to wipe the chairs down every morning before the first people arrive. It’s just a regular neighborhood hospital. We’ve been on this road for years and the building has stayed pretty much the same.
