Paris Saloon

Paris Saloon is our little corner in Vijayawada. We are located at 40-5-1 on Tickle Road, which is in the Moghalraja Puram area. A good way to find us is to look for the ice cream parlour right across the street. People often come in for a haircut and then head over there for a treat. We’ve been operating here for a while and have seen the neighborhood change quite a bit. Despite the fancy name, we are a very down-to-earth place. We handle all kinds of hair, mostly for the men and boys around here. The shop has a few chairs and we keep the scissors sharp. It isn’t the biggest place, but we have enough room for a few people to wait and chat. We don't use any high-tech gadgets. Just the usual stuff you’d find in any neighborhood salon. I’ve lived in Vijayawada all my life and I like being part of the community here on Tickle Road. You get to know people’s names and their families. Sometimes the kids come in for their first haircut and they’re all nervous, so we have to be patient. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. Word of mouth is how most people find us. If you’re near the ice cream shop, just look across the road and you’ll see us. We’re usually there from early morning until the sun goes down. The chairs are old but they are still sturdy. We just do the work.
