Little Hair Saloons

Our shop is located at 42-58-10, Dabakottla Road, in the Singh Nagar area of Vijayawada. It is quite easy to find because we are near the Ganganama Temple. The name Little Hair Saloons fits because the space is not very big, but it is enough for what we do every day. The Vijayawada humidity can be really tough, so we try to keep the place as cool as possible for the people sitting in the chairs. Mostly it is the local men and their kids who come in for a trim. The kids are usually a bit fussy, so we have to be patient with them. We have been here for a while and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but the scissors are sharp and the mirrors are clean. You can hear the bells from the temple sometimes when things go quiet in the shop. We don’t have any fancy machines, just the basic tools that get the job done. Often, neighbors will just pop their head in to say hello even if they don’t need anything done. It is a friendly street to be on. We keep our own hours mostly, opening up when the sun gets bright and closing when the street lights come on. It is not a complicated business, just a small corner of Singh Nagar where we do our work and talk to the people who stop by.
