Our office is located at 3-1-145, right near Gandhi Bhawan in Singhnagar. It’s a busy part of town and we’ve been operating out of this spot for quite some time. We do construction work, mostly focusing on the projects around this area. Inside the office, it’s mostly just files, maps, and a few computers. We spend a lot of time on the phone coordinating with the crews out at the various sites. It gets pretty loud around Gandhi Bhawan, so there’s always noise coming in from the street. We have a small team here that handles the day-to-day stuff. We aren't really into big speeches or fancy presentations. We just look at the plans and see what needs to get done for the week. Sometimes we have to deal with delays because of the rain or transport issues, which is just part of the job. Singhnagar is a place where everyone seems to know each other, so we see a lot of familiar faces passing by. We keep our schedules on a big board on the wall. It’s not a high-tech setup, but it works for us. We just want to finish the work we started without too much trouble. Every morning we start with tea and go over the list of materials that need to be moved to the sites. It’s a steady routine that keeps things moving. We have a couple of old fans that rattle all day, but they help with the heat. It’s a decent living and it keeps us busy.
