Kalyani Salon

Kalyani Salon is located on Plot No 217 in Auto Nagar. We're right on the 100 Feet Road, 1st Cross. It’s an industrial sort of area, so we get a lot of workers and people from the nearby businesses. I opened this place because I saw there wasn't a good spot around here to get a quick haircut without driving too far. The shop isn't very large, but we have enough room for a few customers at a time. I put in some mirrors and the chairs last year. They aren't new, but they are comfortable enough. The dust from the road comes in sometimes, so I’m always wiping things down. Vijayawada can get very hot, so the cooler is always running. It’s noisy inside with the machine sounds and the traffic, but that’s just life in Auto Nagar. We don't do appointments; you just show up and wait your turn. Most of the guys who come in just want a simple cut. Nothing complicated. I try to stay fast so people can get back to their jobs. We've been at this spot for a while now and most of the neighbors know us by name. It’s just a regular salon for regular people. No big signs or bright lights, just the shop name on the door and a place to sit. We try to keep the water running and the floor clean between every customer.
