Guru Brahma Enterprises is on Nagarjuna Street in Bhavani Puram. The address is 75-7-24/1, which can be a bit of a mouthful to tell people over the phone. We are right in the middle of a busy residential and commercial mix. Our shop is where we keep all our supplies and handle the daily walk-in customers. It’s a narrow building, so we have to stack things high up on the walls to make everything fit. There’s a ceiling fan that wobbles a bit, but it keeps us cool enough. Nagarjuna Street is a lively place with a lot of shops, so there is always someone popping in to ask for something. We don’t do any big promotions or anything like that. We just open up in the morning and start going through the inventory. Most of our business comes from people who live nearby or have been coming to us for years. It’s a bit disorganized at times, especially when a big shipment arrives and we have nowhere to put it. We usually end up moving things around three times before they find a permanent spot. The afternoon sun hits the front window pretty hard, so it gets bright inside. We just focus on the work at hand and try to make sure we don't run out of the stuff people need most. It’s a steady, local life.
