Apna Computers

Apna Computers is tucked away in Vasanthnagar, at house number 7-179. We are quite close to the Masjid Kamayyatopy, which is a big local landmark. If you are in the area, you can usually hear the call to prayer throughout the day. It’s a residential sort of neighborhood, so it’s not as frantic as the main market areas. The shop itself is pretty modest. We’ve got our workspace set up to handle whatever tech problems the locals bring in. It’s mostly computers, though we see all sorts of gadgets. Vasanthnagar has a nice feel to it. We know a lot of the people who live nearby. Sometimes they just stop in to say hello or ask for a bit of advice on a new laptop they’re thinking of buying. We don't have a big corporate staff, it's just a few of us. The benches are often covered in screws and various bits of plastic from laptops we’ve taken apart. It’s a real working shop, not a showroom. We don’t spend much on advertising because word of mouth in Kamayyatopy usually does the trick. It’s a steady way to spend the day. We like the fact that we can help out the people in our own community without them having to travel all the way into the city center. It’s just a normal part of the local life here.
