Thengadi Farmer Producer Company Limited is based out of Nayakheda in Bankhedi. We use Ashok Kumar Ravishankar Patel’s place as our base of operations. It’s a simple setup in a quiet part of the area, which suits us just fine. We spend most of our time dealing with the realities of farming in Bankhedi. As a producer company, our whole point is to bring the local farmers together so we have more say in how our products are sold. It isn’t always easy to get everyone on the same page, but we try our best. The office is usually a mess of folders and local newspapers, and there’s almost always someone stopping by to ask a question about their membership or the next harvest cycle. We don't pretend to be some big corporate entity; we’re just local people who know that we’re stronger when we work together. The daily grind involves a lot of coordinating and making sure everyone gets their fair share when the crops are sold. It’s honest, tiring work, but it’s important for our families and our town. We take things one day at a time, looking at the weather and the markets, and trying to make the best of what we have. It’s just how life is here in Nayakheda, and we’re happy to be a part of the local agricultural landscape.
