L. K. Poultry Farm

We've been here at No. 371/1 Bajanai Kovil Street for quite some time now. L. K. Poultry Farm is just what we do every day, waking up early to check on the birds in Chinnadhakara Kuppam. It’s a lot of work honestly, dealing with the feed and making sure the water lines are clear. The Senkadu Post area gets pretty warm, so we spend most of our afternoons just making sure the ventilation is right. My cousins help out too when they aren't busy. Wallajapet Taluk isn't a huge place but everyone knows where the farm is. We don't really have a big office or anything, just the sheds and a small spot to sit down near the gate. Sometimes the trucks arrive late which is a headache, but that is just how it goes with this kind of work. We keep things simple here. The birds need a lot of attention, especially when they are young. You can find us right on the street near the temple. It’s dusty work and my boots are always covered in something, but it’s what keeps us going. We just focus on getting through the day's tasks without too much fuss. Most people around here know us by name and we usually just chat over the fence if they need anything. It's not a fancy setup at all, just some sheds and plenty of birds running around making noise all morning.
