Zona Spices

Our place is tucked away in Mirzahadipura, right behind the petrol pump. It’s not the easiest spot to find if you aren't looking for it, but being near Azimabad helps people locate us. We spend most of our hours here surrounded by bags of spices. The smell is very strong, especially on days when we are moving the pepper or the ground spices around. Sometimes the dust from the petrol pump gets annoying, but we keep our doors mostly shut to keep the stock clean. It is just a small operation. We don’t have those big shiny offices you see in the city. Here, it’s mostly about getting the work done and making sure the orders go out on time. The floor is usually covered in a bit of spice dust no matter how much we sweep. My hands always smell like cumin or coriander, even after I wash them at the end of the shift. We’ve been in this part of town for a good bit now. People around here know us as the spice folks behind the pump. We don’t do much advertising; word of mouth usually does the trick for us. It’s a bit noisy with the cars and bikes constantly pulling in for fuel next door, but you get used to the rhythm of it. We just focus on the scales and the bags. It’s simple work, nothing too complicated, just a local business trying to keep things moving.
