Shri Musical Group

Our spot is at C.7/276 on Senpura Road which is in the Chetganj area of Varanasi. It is an old part of the city and the streets around here can be very narrow and winding. We have been here for a long time and everyone in the neighborhood knows where we are. We are a musical group so there are always instruments laying around the place. Sometimes we practice here and you can hear the music out on the street. It is not a fancy studio or anything just a room where we keep our things and meet up. The walls are a bit old and the paint is peeling in some spots but it feels like home to us. Chetganj is a very lively place to be in Varanasi. There is always someone walking by or a bell ringing from a nearby temple. We don't have any big marketing plans or a polished office. We just love playing music and this is where we manage everything. We sit on the floor mostly and talk about the next show we have to go to. Sometimes we drink chai with the neighbors who stop by to listen. It is a very simple way of doing things but it works for us. We are just local people who like to keep the music going in our city. It is a busy but good life on Senpura Road. There are five of us in the main group and we just try to stay busy.
