Shiv Ganga Vatika

Shiv Ganga Vatika is located on the Lanka Samne Ghat Road, right in the Samne Ghat area of Varanasi. Being so close to the river, we get a nice breeze sometimes, though the humidity can be a lot during the summer months. The place is mostly a space for gatherings and local events, so we spend a lot of time cleaning up and making sure the grounds look decent. It’s not a five-star resort or anything like that. It’s a local spot where people come for their functions. We have a few staff members who live nearby and help with the daily upkeep of the plants and the halls. The road outside can get quite busy with people heading toward the ghat, so there’s always a bit of noise from the traffic. We don't do much in the way of advertising; usually, people just walk in or call us because they saw the gate while passing by. The building has some age to it, and we are always touching up the paint or fixing a leaky tap. It’s a hands-on kind of job. We don't have a corporate office or a marketing department. It’s just us on-site, making sure the gates are open and the lights are working. Varanasi is a special place, and being at Samne Ghat feels like being in the heart of things. We just take things one day at a time.
