Shashi Events & Artist Management

Our spot for Shashi Events & Artist Management is at Madhopur Chauraha in Sigra, right next to the BSNL office in Varanasi. This city is always moving and we are right in the middle of all that energy. The office is basically just a room where we keep our calendars and phone chargers. We spend a lot of time talking to different artists and trying to figure out who is free for what date. It’s a lot of back and forth on the phone and sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when three things are happening at once. We don't have a big corporate team, just a couple of us who know the local scene. Being beside the BSNL office helps people find us because everyone knows where that is. We have piles of posters and cards from musicians and performers scattered around the desks. It’s not the most organized looking place, but we manage to get the jobs done. When there is a big festival in Varanasi, our phones don't stop ringing. We just try to keep everyone happy and make sure the artists show up on time. Sometimes the traffic at the chauraha makes it hard for people to park, so we usually tell them to just come by on a scooter or walk. It’s a practical business and we like the people we work with every day.
