Our rooms are over in Shivaji Nagar Colony, which is just off Mehmoorganj Road in the Sigra area. It’s a nice, tucked-away spot in Varanasi. Being in a colony means it’s a bit quieter than being right on the main road, which is good for focusing. Shaarda Classes has been operating from this location for some time now. We have a couple of large rooms that we’ve turned into study spaces. It’s nothing too formal. We’ve got some basic furniture and plenty of light. Usually, you’ll find one of us sitting by the door to greet people. We don’t have a big staff, so we do most things ourselves, from answering the phone to fixing the chairs. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed. Students often hang out near the entrance for a few minutes after their sessions are over. We keep a stack of old question papers in the corner for anyone to use. The walk from Mehmoorganj Road is short, so it’s easy for people to find us once they know which lane to turn into. We try to keep things simple and avoid any unnecessary fuss. It’s just a place where work gets done. We’ve got a small water tank out front and a place for people to leave their shoes. It feels like a normal part of the neighborhood, which is exactly how we like it. We enjoy being here.
