Sahaj Tutorials

Our tutorial is located in the Bishwarganj area of Varanasi. It is a very busy part of the city, and we are right in the middle of all that activity in Bisheshwarganj. We’ve got a simple setup here at Sahaj Tutorials. It’s basically just a few rooms where we have put in some sturdy benches and tables for the students to use. The building is older, which is common for this part of Varanasi, but it stays relatively cool inside even when the sun is out. We don’t go in for anything fancy or high-tech; we mostly use boards and markers and lots of printed notes. Every morning, we come in, sweep the floors, and get the water containers filled up for the day. You can hear the sounds of the market outside—the rickshaws and the people shouting—but it becomes a sort of background noise after a while. Most of the kids who come here live nearby or take a short rickshaw ride to get to us. We keep our hours regular and try to be helpful whenever someone has a question about their schoolwork. It’s a very grounded place. We don't have a big marketing team or anything; word usually just spreads from one family to another in the neighborhood. We just do our work and go home when the last student leaves the building for the night.
