Kurukshetra Classes

Our place, Kurukshetra Classes, is tucked away in Khojwa Bazar. The address is a bit long with all those letters and numbers, B-34, 1/G/1/K/R, but most locals just know it’s near the Koluha Veer Baba Mandir in Saraynandan. It’s a very traditional part of Varanasi. We have been operating from this small building for years. The street outside is narrow and can get quite crowded with people going to the temple or the market. We mostly teach kids from the houses nearby. It is a very local setup. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby. People just walk in and talk to us directly about their children. We teach different things depending on what the students are studying in school. Usually, it is a lot of practice work and going over old question papers. We sit on the floor sometimes or use the old wooden desks we have had since we first opened. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but the teaching is what matters most to us. We know everyone’s name and their family. It feels more like a community center than a school sometimes. We stay open until late in the evening to make sure everyone gets their turn. It’s hard work but it’s what we do. No fancy gadgets, just pens, paper, and hard work. That’s how we have always done things here in the Saraynandan area near the temple.
