Kanubabu Decorator

Our place is called Kanubabu Decorator and you can find us at D-35/87 in Jagambari. This part of Varanasi, 221001, is very old and the lanes can be quite narrow. We’ve been in Jangambari for a long time. It’s where we keep all our supplies, like fabrics and bamboo poles for the stalls. We don’t have a shiny storefront. It’s more of a workspace where we get things ready for weddings and festivals. The work is physical and we’re often out in the sun. We don’t believe in using big words to describe what we do. We just decorate. It’s a family-run kind of thing, mostly. Everyone around here knows Kanubabu. We don't have any corporate goals or polished brochures. If someone needs a pandal or some decorations, they just come find us in the lane. The address is D-35/87, but sometimes people just ask the tea stall nearby. Varanasi is a city of traditions, and we feel like we are part of that. We aren't trying to be the biggest decorators in the state. We just want to do a decent job for the people who hire us. Our life is about colors, cloth, and hard work. Jangambari is a crowded area, but it’s our home. We don't need anything more than that. We just focus on the next event and making sure the fabric is tied tight and looks alright.
