Our shop, K K Advertisers, is right on Dashwemedh Road, at 16/1. If you know Varanasi, you know how busy Godowlia gets during the day. We are located near Man Mandir Godowlia. It’s a very old and crowded part of the city, which is actually great for our kind of business. We spend our days making signs, banners, and all kinds of advertisements for other local shops. You can usually hear the sound of the printing machines running from the street outside. It’s a small space, but we make it work somehow. We’ve been here for a long time, watching the pilgrims and tourists walk by every day toward the ghats. We handle a lot of paper, vinyl, and metal. Our hands are often stained with ink by the end of the day. It’s practical work. People come in with a rough idea for a shop board, and we try to make it look decent for them. We don’t use any fancy marketing talk ourselves; we just print what the customers want. The traffic in Godowlia can be a real headache when we’re trying to deliver a big sign, but we’re used to it by now. We know most of the other shopkeepers around here. It feels like a small community even though it's so crowded. We just keep busy with the orders that come in. It’s a regular job, nothing special, but it keeps the lights on and the printers running. We try to finish everything on time. We've seen the city change so much from this little corner.
