Our office is right here in Lanka, on the second floor of the Abr building. If you know the area near Banaras University, you know how busy it gets around Nagwva Choraha. We have been working from this spot for a while now, dealing with all the paperwork and student queries that come through the door every day. The stairs up to the second floor are a bit narrow, but once you get inside, it is a decent enough space with enough desks for everyone. We spend most of our mornings just getting the files in order and talking to people who walk in from the street. Being so close to the university means there is always a lot of energy around, even if the traffic outside is loud. Sometimes the noise from the crossing makes it hard to hear on the phone, but that is just how it is in this part of Varanasi. We do not have any fancy furniture or anything, just the basic stuff we need to get the educational services side of things moving along. Usually, the afternoons are the busiest when the local students finish their regular classes and stop by to ask about forms or schedules. It is a simple setup, really, and we just try to keep things organized so no one is waiting too long in the hallway. We have seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years, but our little corner on the second floor stays pretty much the same.
