Being out here in the 4th Phase of GIDC at A-2/6017 means we are right in the middle of all the industrial action. Nathani Machinery Mfrs. Pvt. Ltd. is basically a place where there is always the sound of metal hitting metal and machines humming. We spend our days cutting, welding, and putting things together. The workshop isn't exactly clean, as there are grease stains on the floor and metal shavings in the corners. It’s an honest environment where work gets done. Most of us have been here a long time and we just know how the machines should sound when they are running right. The air usually smells like iron and heavy industrial oil. We have big units sitting on the floor waiting to be finished and smaller components laid out on the benches. It gets pretty hot during the summer months in this part of GIDC, but we just keep going. You won't find any plush chairs or fancy decorations here, just heavy steel and the tools we use to shape it. We focus on the blueprints and making sure the dimensions are what they need to be. Sometimes it’s a bit of a scramble when a big order is going out the gate and the trucks are waiting. We are just a regular manufacturing team trying to do a solid job. It’s loud, it’s a bit messy, but it’s what we do every day for our customers.
