Uniflex Cables Ltd.

We are based at No. 158-163 in the GIDC area of Umbergaon. It’s a large space because cables take up a lot of room. Uniflex Cables Ltd. has been operating out of these units for a while now. The GIDC in Umbergaon is a bit out of the way for some, but it’s where all the industrial action happens. Most days here are spent on the floor or in the small office area handling orders. It’s dusty and noisy sometimes, but that’s expected in a cable factory. We don't have fancy decorations or a reception area with a fountain. It’s just us, some heavy machinery, and miles of cable. We spend a lot of time making sure the lengths are right and the shipping is scheduled. The sun can get pretty hot on the corrugated roofs in the summer. We drink a lot of tea and just keep the production moving. Most of our staff have been with us for years, so we all know the routine. It’s honest work, even if it’s a bit repetitive. We don’t really bother with big speeches or mission statements. We just make sure the cables are ready to go when they are supposed to be. It’s a practical business in a practical part of town. Sometimes the trucks are late and sometimes things go perfectly, but we just take it as it comes. It keeps us on our toes and the days go by fast enough when there is plenty to do.
