Sharda Paramedical And Education Trust is based over in Vyara, specifically in the Golwad area on the Main Road. Being out here in the Tapi district, things are a bit quieter than in the middle of Surat city. Our place is situated near the post office, so there are always people walking back and forth on the street outside. I spend most of my time in the office or checking on the different rooms where the work happens. It is a simple building with white walls and a few desks scattered around. We have some charts on the walls and basic furniture that has been here for years. The trust does its work from here, and we usually have people coming in from the surrounding villages to ask about our programs or just to drop off papers. Managing everything takes a lot of time, and the paperwork can get piled up pretty high on the wooden tables. Vyara is a small place where everyone sort of knows what is going on. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who handle the day-to-day things like answering the phone and keeping the files in order. The windows look out onto the main road, and you can hear the local buses passing by every hour. It isn't a modern office with glass walls, just a functional space where we try to get things done without making a fuss.
