Out in Ronvel, Valsad, things move a bit slower than in the big cities. Our school, Navnirman Vidyalaya, reflects that. We are surrounded by a lot of greenery and open space, which is nice for the students. Most of the families here are involved in farming or local trade, so the school is a central point for the community. The building is simple, one of those long structures with a veranda running along the front. When it rains, which happens a lot in Valsad, you can hear the water drumming on the roof, making it hard to hear the teacher sometimes. We don't have high-tech gadgets or fancy labs. We use what we have, like old maps and simple science kits. The students are generally hardworking and help out at home after school. You’ll often see them walking along the dirt paths to get here. We have a few trees in the yard where the kids sit during lunch. It’s a peaceful spot. Our staff is small, so we all end up doing a bit of everything, from teaching to fixing the gate. We don't have a big website or a corporate office. This is just a school in a village trying to give the local kids a decent start. The days are predictable, and we like it that way. It’s just honest work in a quiet corner of Gujarat. We hope the kids carry some good memories with them when they leave.
