Boonmax Higher Secondary School. We are located at number 2, Education Park in Custom Chala. That’s in Vapi, Valsad. The area is called Education Park, but it’s really just a few buildings and some paved roads with some trees here and there. Being a higher secondary school, we deal with the older students who are getting ready for their final boards. It’s a stressful time for them, and for us too. The building is modern enough, but it’s already starting to show some wear. The floors are a bit scuffed and the doors squeak when they swing. We have a lot of students coming from all different parts of Vapi. The traffic in Custom Chala can be a real nightmare in the mornings. We all try to get here before the main rush starts. The classrooms are filled with those combined desk-and-bench units that we have to straighten up every morning. We spend hours every day explaining the same concepts. The staff room is where we go to escape the noise for a few minutes and have a glass of water. We have a small kettle for tea that we use in the afternoons. The windows look out onto the other buildings in the park. It’s a lot of routine work. Marking papers, taking attendance, and making sure the kids stay in their seats is what we do. It’s not fancy. It’s just a job in a building in Vapi. We go home when the sun starts to set. The pincode is 396001 and we’ve been at this spot for quite a while.
