Down in Phase-3 of the Gidc in Vapi, you’ll find us at Plot No. C1-B, 2427. Sanjay Dye Chem Industries has been part of this landscape for a while. The air around here always has that distinct industrial smell, and our clothes usually end up with some kind of dye stain on them by the end of the day. It’s just the nature of working with chemicals. The building isn't anything special to look at, just a sturdy structure that’s seen a lot of seasons. We spend most of our time monitoring the mixing process and ensuring the drums are filled properly. It’s a lot of standing on your feet and moving heavy stuff around. Sometimes the rains in Vapi make the yard at 2427 a bit of a swamp, but we put on our boots and keep moving. There’s no big mission statement on the wall, just a calendar with some dates circled and a list of things we need to buy from the market. We have our regulars who come by, and we usually have a quick chat while the paperwork gets sorted. It’s a local business through and through. We know the tea stall guy down the road and the guys at the neighboring plots. We just try to keep the business steady and avoid any big dramas. It’s about getting the orders out on time and making sure the machines don’t break down on a Tuesday morning.
